This week I’m taking a quick break from career and internship advice to talk about sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is defined as "unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that tends to create a hostile or offensive work environment."
An internship or job should be a place where you are in an environment to feel comfortable to get your work done and be productive. Unfortunately, sexual harassment is real and is something that exists. I know this is a timely topic so I wanted to take a few moments to talk about about what sexual harassment is, and what to do if you are feeling sexually harassed at your job or internship.
