My 2014 New Years Resolutions
Hello Intern Queen Readers,
I’m excited to dive into 2014 with all of you. But before we do – I need to make sure that you have some professional New Year’s Resolutions prepared. Some of my New Year’s Resolutions are as follows:
1. A Healthy Body Leads To A Healthy Mind. I’ve definitely fallen behind on my working out (I’m sure you have, too!) But let’s get back into it. My New Year’s Resolution is to do cardio 4 days per week. I'll use this workout time to work out any stress I'm dealing with and get into shape. I think this will lead to healthier habits in general.
2. Be More Organized. We all need to organize our personal and professional lives in a way that makes us the most productive. But how will you stay organized in 2014? I’ve gone back in time and I purchased a (very cute) planner. I write to-do lists every day, but this time I can just write them in the planner on the appropriate day. It seems to be working thus far!
3. Don’t Overbook Myself. As a young entrepreneur, I’ve always had the mentality that “more is better” and that I’d pretty much “get it done for the paycheck”. When every dollar counts, you work for every single penny. This year, my plan is to think a little bit before saying “YES” to everything: every project, every opportunity, every date on the calendar. I have to put myself and my health first and if I can’t speak at 20 cities in 8 days – then I can’t speak in 20 cities in 8 days.
2014 is going to be huge -- I know it. I can’t wait to watch and see what we all achieve. Here’s to another GREAT year! #InternQueenFamily
