LOS ANGELES (August) – National song competition, Bellaboo Sing for Self-Esteem Powered by ULTA Beauty, has announced the winner of its inaugural contest as 17-year-old Tyné Angela Freeman, from South Carolina http://bit.ly/SFSEwinner.

Tyné wins the chance to boost her singing dreams. She will be flown to LA where she will be the guest of honor at a day long Sing For Self-Esteem Festival on September 15 at Bella Terra Mall, Huntington Beach. The event is hosted by High School Musical Star Monique Coleman and features performances by an array of talent joining forces to promote teen esteem. Melody Thornton, Savannah Outen, Benni Cinkle, Bree Boyce, Temara Melek, Acacia Clark, Eva Universe, Future Stereo, Ace Primo, and L2 are all performing throughout the day-long festival, with the event culminating in a live performance by Tyné Freeman.

The next day Tyné will also get the chance to head into the recording studio to record her version of the Bellaboo Girl song for iTunes release. All proceeds from the sale of the single will go toward self- esteem. Tyné will record in Darkchild Studios, where stars like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Brittany Spears, have all recorded.

Bellaboo President, Snezna Kerekovic said of the competition: “The caliber of entries we received were outstanding. It was a very tough job for our judges – Walter Jordan (seVentY7 Records), Ryan Buckland (Creative Dreams Entertainment), James Hollands (Kingdom Wise Records) and myself. We chose Tyné because she really took the song and made it her own. Couple that with her incredibly strong vocals and musical talent and she really is the complete package. And, add to that, not known to any of the judges at the time of judging, is that she really embodies a Bellaboo Girl! She has started her own not-for-profit organization, Kaleid (pronounced collide), which provides a platform for people to share music with the proceeds going to a charity of the artists’ choice.

“Even though there is only one prize winner all of the girls who entered are winners for putting themselves out there and submitting their entry and in the process sharing their voice to the important message of promoting positive teen esteem!”

Whilst the competition did not officially offer runner-up prizes, Bellaboo will award every entrant a Bellaboo Skin Care beauty gift set, and signed poster from all the artists that will perform at the Sing For Self-Esteem Festival, in gratitude for their efforts and recognition and encouragement for their incredible talent!

As there were so many talented young people who entered, the judges also came up with 6 highly commended contestants. These six will go to a fan vote on the Bellaboo Facebook Page, where fans will be encouraged to vote for their favorite. The entry with most votes will receive a year’s supply of Bellaboo and feature in an interview on BellabooGloss!
