Still looking for a Summer Job or Internship?
Well I know I am! Seeking a summer job or internship can become very difficult.
Summer Jobs: When enrolled in college and you’re seeking a summer time job, it can be very hard. I have had the experience of being rejected or not getting calls back because I am only applying for ‘Seasonal’ positions and will be attending school again once the summer is over. A lot of stores and companies don’t mind hiring people for summer or seasonal positions but others do. They want to hire someone that will be permanent as opposed to temporary. But don’t get me wrong, jobs are out there! You just have to stay determined and keep looking and ask around. One of the most important things you can do when applying for a job is following up and calling the hiring manager to see if you’re application has been looked over. I have done this plenty of times. By doing this the hiring manager will pull up your application and look it over really quick and ask for you to come in for an interview. It’s that simple.
Internships: As for internships, they are surrounded by us everywhere. There are opportunities that I have come across that I never thought I would even be interested in until I found out more details about it. Internship opportunities are something that you definitely want to ask around for and let people know what kind of internship you are interested in so if they find something that is similar to that, they will be able to contact you. Networking is key!
There are many websites out there such as Internqueen.com of course! Some others are:
These are some great places to check out for internships as well!
