Stop Skipping Meals - It Won't Make You Skinny!

So, I've been having lots of problems with my clients skipping meals and making excuses that either they don't have time or they think that eating all the time will make them fat... Here's what I have to say to that... First off it does not take more than 5 min to eat an apple, or 2 min to down a yogurt, or 1 min to toss back some almonds! Basically what I'm saying is that "time" is not an excuse for not snaking or eating every 3 to 4 hours. Second, I understand how one might feel like eating every 3 to 4 hours gives them the illusion that they are being a "fat kid" but that is exactly what your body and metabolism need. Not only does this keep your metabolism on point and running great, but it also helps keep your main meals, lunch and dinner, small. Snaking throughout your day will prevent you from getting to the point where you are starving (or low blood sugar) which results in overeating (or storing all the calories you just inhaled) . Keep the meals and snaking small and lean and I promise your body will thank you with some hot abs and a nice rump! ;) So next time you want to be stubborn or just plain lazy, think about the consequences and strive for consistency!
