“College is about learning, but it's also about living.” I love this quote! I recently came across it on the website of Semester Online, a program that allows undergraduate students the chance to take courses online from some of the world’s top-ranked universities. Courses are taken for credit and feature the same rigorous, high-quality academics found on campus.
Making time for your internship will be a breeze, as Semester Online’s coursework is self-paced and accessible anywhere you have an internet connection. This means that you can do everything you love – intern, travel, conduct research or see to personal commitments -- all while staying on track to graduate.
How It Works:
Select top U.S. and international universities have come together to form Semester Online – Boston College, Brandeis University, Emory University, Northwestern University, Trinity College Dublin, The University of Melbourne, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Notre Dame, Wake Forest University and Washington University in St. Louis. Through this collaboration, elite students from any college or university have the chance to experience each institution’s unique academic offerings online.
Using face-to-face video technology, students participate in live, weekly class sessions online. Small class sizes ensure individualized access to faculty and foster a productive, collaborative learning environment.
All courses offered through Semester Online are for-credit, so students have a once-in- a-lifetime chance to experience courses from a range of other top universities while still earning credit and working toward graduation. Students can take one class or an entire semester, so check out our course catalog to see what’s available this spring.
Students must submit an online application at Semester Online.org
and send in their official transcript. The final application deadline for the spring semester is December 23, 2013.
