Try The Intern Queen's Workout!
SO....As you all know, my mom told me it was time for me to get working out last week. I know that I should be working out regularly - to feel good if nothing else. However, "knowing" and "doing" are two different things. I promised my mom that if I took last week to myself (to get everything organized) I would start working out this week. Mondays are my favorite days because they are always productive and you can start your work week out on a powerful note but getting done what YOU want.
I called up my good friend and frequent trainer, Trainer Nicky, and told her it was time to get back to it. I got sick back in October and let it derail all of my exercise efforts. It was time to get back at it (especially while I'm in town and in one place). Trainer Nicky (http://www.twitter.com/trainernicky) is one of my favorite trainers because we work out in a park. She brings her equipment and we get to it!
Here are 3 things we did today that you can incorporate into your workouts:
* Warm-up lap around the park. I always like starting with a little cardio warm-up - gets the blood pumping!
* Setting Up Cones. Remember the cones you used to run around in elementary school? The cones are back. Set them up and do sets up sprints between them. Today, Nicky and I did a combination of squats and sprints (IE: Run to one cone, do ten squats and then run to the other cone and do ten squats)
*Jump Rope. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you I like the jump rope - I don't. But it gets your heart rate up and it shows results!
